🥚:The clothes you make, Rie, have unique combinations of fabrics and prints and are all so cute!!
That’s why people all over the world are fascinated by your clothes!
What inspired you to start wei wei wei, and how many years has it been since you started as of 2026?
RIE: Thankiewww so much, that really means a lot to us. weiweiwei actually started at the end of 2023 with one of my best friends, Raina. We both studied fashion design, but in different countries, and when we came back, we just wanted to make clothes together for fun. I’ve always loved thrifting, so we had lots of pieces and fabrics to experiment with. It began very naturally, just playing, mixing, and following what felt exciting.
🥚:Is there anything you consider important when thinking about design? Also, has anything influenced you? (Even if it’s something that is currently influencing you!)
RIE: Honestly, it’s all about fun for me. Not the complicated kind, just the kind that makes me smile without thinking too much. I always follow my heart while I’m creating and learning. Music and culture influence me a lot too. I’m super easily affected by music, one song can totally change my mood, and somehow that mood always sneaks into the clothes hehe
🥚:What are your future goals?
『I’d love to hold a Wei Wei Wei pop-up in Japan someday：）』
RIE: of course WE WOULD LOVE to do a weiweiwei pop-up in Japan someday (finger crossed & manifesting now)to meet all the fun, creative people there. I think meeting people from different places always brings new energy, and that kind of exchange really influences how I design. Traveling, connecting, and creating along the way feels like the dream and also the goals

I fell in love with the worldview presented by wei wei wei at first sight and contacted them straight away. It was about a year and a half ago that this amusing turn of events led to us easily becoming a stockist.
Time flies... From the moment we started stocking them, we supported their activities in whatever way we could, and while we watched, they rapidly grew into a brand that was receiving offers from all over the world!!
I was certain that they would be a great fit, so I'm very happy that I reached out to them. And that's wei wei wei. Their new collection is scheduled for release around spring 2026. Look forward to it!
